THE TURQUOISE LAGOON

Itinerary

Your adventure begins with an early pick up in Cusco at 4:30 in the morning. You will be taken on a 2 hour ride to the village of Mollepata, where you will enjoy an energizing breakfast. This tour is full of beautiful views of Andean landscapes passing through picturesque villages. After breakfast, you will continue your journey for another hour until you reach Soraypampa, the start of the trek. There, your guide will give you the indications for the hike. You will begin a 1 hour and a half hike up to the lagoon itself. You can enjoy beautiful landscapes of snowy peaks and gorges, accompanied by the beautiful view of the snowy Salkantay. You can also observe the wildlife of the place. Upon arrival at the lagoon, your guide will give you an explanation of the formation of this lagoon and the reason for its turquoise waters; in addition, you will have enough time to walk around the place on your own and get the best pictures.

At the end of the visit, you will begin your return walk through the same place where you arrived to board your transport that will take you to the town of Mollepata where a delicious local lunch awaits you. After lunch, you will continue your return trip to your hotel in Cusco, where your tour ends.
